Testimonials

“Maria was so knowledgeable and the hypnobirthing course was so calming and reassuring for us as first time parents. The classes were very informative, and the at-home practice was very effective. My birthing experience was everything I wanted it to be, and this is all down to hypnobirthing. Thank you, Maria!”
— Ellie
“The birth of our little girl was such a positive experience and that’s thanks to Maria and the KGH hypnobirthing sessions. With her guidance, we learned the best ways to use the programme to work for us. We used the scripts and pre-recorded them for during labour. We listened to the KGH tracks for a few weeks prior, which helped me to really relax on an evening, before sleeping. Throughout the labour, I used the breathing techniques that we had learned and felt calm, and in control. As well as this, I felt fully informed of what I wanted my hospital experience to be like. I never would have thought it was possible to have a pain-free labour before. I cannot recommend The Perinatal Care Company enough!”
— Katie
“Can I just say your course helped me through so much with my emergency c section, it was a category 3 due to him having reduced movements so they needed to get him out within 24-48 hours. They listened to my wants and needs even though it was classed as an emergency, I was able to have a gentle caesarean. I would really say it was the best experience of my life and I really wouldn’t change it. Thank you.”
— Louise

 Frequently Asked Questions

What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is likely very different to what you expect! Many people assume you only attend a hypnobirthing course if you are planning a drug-free, intervention free labour. This is not the case - hypnobirthing is for every birth! This course is a complete antenatal and hypnobirthing programme for all birthing people. It is a lovely balance of birth education, psycho-education and skills practice, to help you feel physically and psychologically prepared for birth. The course aims to empower birthing people to navigate their birth journey with a calm confidence and work together with their care team, for a personalised and positive birth experience.

WHEN SHOULD I start a hypnobirthing course?

There is no ‘right’ time to attend a hypnobirthing course, it is completely up to you when you choose to start. Attending earlier on in your pregnancy can allow for additional time to absorb the information and ample time to practice the techniques in preparation for your birth. Starting earlier also means you can experience the benefits of a calm body and mind during your pregnancy, for longer. Depending on your style of learning, there can also be benefits of attending a course later in your pregnancy - it’s about what works for you as an individual/ couple. On average, people attend between weeks 26 and 36 of pregnancy.

can my partner attend?

Yes absolutely! Booking a place on the course, secures a spot for you and your birth partner. I often hear that partners feel unsure of their role in labour and the unknown of birth can leave partners feeling out of control and even frightened. The course provides factual information to help you better understand and prepare for labour, which in turn can help to ease anxiety and build confidence in your role as a birth partner.
